Uprolls upcycles industrial waste materials. We turn heavy-duty cardboard rolls into design furniture.
Uprolls was born from dreams and needs. We dream of making the World a better place. We also sense an urgent need to reduce the load on our home planet in order to keep the Earth clean and green for our children.
Uprolls carries the new environmental philosophy. Recycling and upcycling have become norms in the current era of resource exhaustion. We have found valuable raw materials among industrial waste, which is routinely sent to landfill.
We upcycle heavy-duty cardboard rolls that originally carried steel roof sheets. The rolls gain a new life in Uprolls’ design and production facility, and turn into chairs, stools, tables, shelves, lamps, play modules for children, pet beds, pet furniture etc. Also the fabrics used in Uprolls’ production come from surplus of furniture and textile industries, where we pick out good quality materials.
Uprolls contributes to the saving of material and energy, which would otherwise be used for the production of elements for analogous products. Also industrial waste disposal costs are reduced by the upcycling process.
Author of Uprolls’ concept and designs is renowned Estonian designer Leonardo Meigas.
